Mary:  This is Mary Walden with economist MW welcoming you to the economic perspective.  Today’s program asks if unemployment can go lower.  Mike, the latest unemployment rates in both the nation and North Carolina are under 5%.   Typically when the jobless rate is in the 4% range, economists consider the labor market to be near full employment.  So, does this mean we are now at standstill with jobs?
