After some fits and starts, the growing season is finally progressing, and regional agronomist with North Carolina Department of Agriculture, Don Nicholson says producers in his area, region 7, are focused on issues in tobacco:“For the most part it’s a decent crop started, tremendous amount of tomato spotted wilt virus, more than I’ve ever seen in the years that we’ve had to deal with that, in a big fashion. "
