Nice bounce in corn futures with good crop in eastern US fields

On Friday, we had an update on the region’s corn crop from NC State Extension Corn Specialist, Dr. Ron Heiniger.  With the season’s cool, wet weather, alternating with hot and dry, fungus has begun to show up in fields where it’s not normally seen; the northern Coastal Plain.  Northern Leaf Blight has been spotted, but that’s not all: “Gray Leaf spot is another coolish, wet season disease.  I’m concerned…”
