Recently, USDA’s National Ag Statistics Service released their planted acreage report, and for North Carolina there were a few surprises. NC Ag Commissioner Steve Troxler says it was a surprise to see how many acres North Carolina farmers had planted to cotton, a 29% increase over a year ago.
