USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) estimated a record high 89.5 million acres of soybeans planted in the United States for 2017, up 7 percent from last year, according to the Acreage report released June 30, 2017. Corn area planted is estimated at 90.9 million acres, down 3 percent from last year.
