Some producers barning tobacco

Few producers will tell you, but this has been a ear ideal growing year for many crops, tobacco being one of them.  NC Department of Agriculture Regional Agronomist, Don Nicholson: “Most of the time, had good rainfall, and tobacco has matured out, even the late planted stuff, towards the first week in May has come on and topped out, and our guys are putting in barns even though the bottom leaves still have some color and life to them.  From what I’ve seen so far, in my region, not a bad crop at all.”
