During the last six years, portions of Charles Wishon’s historic farm off N.C. Highway 10 have turned into what he says is an expanding “swamp.” The farm, known as Oakwood Farm, has a long history in the area going back to the time Robert Lee Shuford Sr. established the farm in 1880, Wishon said.
