Trying to schedule a meeting with Mark Fisher depends on the weather. You’re more likely to get him when the weather is bad, so this time of year, he’s a hard man to reach. “I’m so sorry to have to do this, but can we reschedule for tomorrow?” said Fisher, co-owner of Fishers Orchard in Greer, South Carolina, when called on a beautiful Tuesday in June after a couple of straight weeks of rain. “I really need to get my pumpkins planted.”
