Abnormally dry conditions return to North Carolina

In the latest Drought Monitor released by the Drought Mitigation Center on Thursday, two areas of abnormally dry conditions have returned to the Tar Heel State, one across the Virginia border across Warren, North Hampton and Halifax Counties, and the other across the southern two-thirds of Brunswick County to the south, equally 2.66% of the state.  North Carolina has been drought free for most of the summer.
