Summer livestock numbers surge at NC auctions

Cattle:  At the livestock auction held Friday in Siler City, a total of 916 cattle, 164 goats, and 18 sheep were sold.  Compared to last week, breaking type slaughter cows were 4.00 to 5.00 lower; while boning type were 1.00 to 2.00 higher.  Slaughter bulls were 2.00 to 5.00 lower.
