$31.8 million in Hurricane Matthew federal relief money headed to NC

Nearly $32 million in federal money is headed to North Carolina to help recover from Hurricane Matthew, which devastated the state in October 2016. U.S. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson announced on Tuesday that an additional $31.86 million will be given to North Carolina to help the state recover from severe flooding. That money is in addition to the $6.1 million HUD awarded the state in May.
