Tyrrell County was the host of this year’s annual Blacklands Farm Managers Field Day on Wednesday.  NC Ag Commissioner Steve Troxler was in attendance, and talked about the region’s agriculture: “This is a well kept secret, not only in North Carolina, but in the whole United States.  This is one of the most productive agricultural areas in the whole country.”
