NC State Extension Corn Specialist Dr. Ron Heiniger was a featured speaker last week at the Blacklands Farm Managers Field Day in Columbia, NC.  Heiniger recaps his talk: “Well, the one thing I was talking to growers about the crops out here is that they look fantastic.  We had some ear counts, that were going over 300 bu/a potential yield, and that’s one thing I wanted them to see is indeed this year is sort of special in that regard. "
