Professor: Pipeline brings adverse impact on economy via climate change

A proposed pipeline will have an adverse impact on the economy because of its contribution to climate change, a university professor said Thursday. Ryan E. Emanuel, associate professor at N.C. State University’s Department of Forestry and Environmental Resources, spoke at a “listening session” held by state officials to get feedback on the proposed Atlantic Coast Pipeline. He said he was speaking as a private citizen and not as a representative of the school.
