In the latest drought monitor released by the Drought Mitigation Center for conditions through Tuesday morning, North Carolina’s abnormally dry conditions abated some, falling from 35.28% to 27.81%. The area of shrinkage is largely from east to west, and from the north. The majority of the Piedmont remains in abnormally dry conditions. For more of this story, click here.
