The North Carolina Poultry Federation (NCPF) recently held its annual meeting in Greensboro. This year marked the 50th anniversary of the poultry federation’s annual banquet and awards ceremony. To honor this landmark event, NC Ag Commissioner Steve Troxler was part of the program, as well as Bill Lovette, CEO of Pilgrim’s Pride, who delivered the keynote address. The poultry federation honored Jimmy Collie, poultry animal tech supervisor with the NC Department of Agriculture, as this year’s Distinguished Service Award winner. NCPF past president Jeff Stalls was honored with the Past President’s Award. In keeping with tradition, the poultry federation also elected a new Board of Directors to serve for the 2017-18 year. Neal Walsh, of Butterball, is the new president.
