Down east crops hold exciting potential

Combines are rolling in the corn fields in eastern North Carolina, and Rod Gurganus, Director of Beaufort County Extension says down east producers are really excited about the prospects for not only corn, but soybeans as well:
“We’ve been harvesting now for a couple of weeks in a few spots, really decent yields thus far, in fact some really good yields we’re hearing from place to place.
