Pipeline builders want to create butterfly, bee habitats

The companies hoping to build the Atlantic Coast Pipeline say they want to establish “pollinator habitats” for butterflies, bees and other insects along the proposed route. Environmental activists said they appreciate the need for the habitats, but said the move seems to be about public relations and will not make up for habitats destroyed by the project.
