New constrution starts soon on Cooperative Extension building

Work to remove the old Lenoir County Cooperative Extension building will begin soon to make way for a $1.4 million facility.
The county will accept demolition bids Thursday on the building at 1791 State Road 1155. Tammy Kelly, Lenoir County extension director, said on Aug. 26 about seven or eight fire departments started the demolition process with a controlled burn on the building.
