Life on a family farm is a lot different than life on a Marine base. John and Linda Laine served in the Marine Corps for 14 and 20 years respectively, but they now operate their own farm in Kings Mountain, located at 223 Range Road.While cattle do not take orders quite like service members, the local veterans still have ties to their military past.
