Greensboro-based The Fresh Market Inc. has appointed a new president and chief executive officer, nearly three months after former CEO Rick Anicetti resigned from the grocery chain. Larry Appel becomes president and CEO immediately, the company said Monday morning.  Appel has nearly 30 years in retail, legal and corporate strategy, the company stated in a news release.
