As part of Guilford Local Foods Celebration, Elam Gardens (www.elamgardens.com) is hosting a local “urban agriculture” tour on Thursday, September 28th at 5:30 p.m. lasting no more than 1.5 hours. As part of Greensboro’s suburban environment you can discover how intensive agriculture methods are being used to create a local food farm, including chicken composting, raised beds, wildlife friendly zones, rain water collection, and solar energy systems.
