Two common questions that Gov. Roy Cooper says he hears when recruiting out-of-state businesses is how welcoming is North Carolina to diversity, and what are the skills and training quality of its workforce. Cooper told attendees at the annual state Manufacturing Conference, held Wednesday at Benton Convention Center, that his ability to answer both affirmatively in the post-House Bill 2 period is leading to more project commitments and job pledges.
