The Sanitary Transportation Act is one of the 7 rules of the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). This rule is built on similar principles as the Sanitary Food Transportation Act of 2005 and establishes requirements for loaders, shippers, carriers (rail or motor vehicles), and receivers for both human and animal food. The first compliance date for the Sanitary Transportation Act was April 6, 2017, though FDA acknowledged documentation of compliance through training may be difficult without training materials being available...
