Thoughts turning to winter grains

With tobacco harvest winding down, and corn not far behind, farmers are starting to think about winter grains.  Executive Director of the North Carolina Small Grain Growers Association, Dan Weathington has these suggestions when considering wheat varieties:“When people ask me what varieties to plant, and should the plant the same as last year.  I ask them what’s consistently made money over the years, wheat, corn and soybeans when you look at more than one year.
