R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. and Philip Morris USA have asked the U.S. Supreme Court to hear an appeal of legal rulings involving smokers’ Engle progeny lawsuits. The manufacturers submitted their petition for writ of certiorari on Sept. 15.
