Prestage Foods in St. Pauls is recalling about 38,475 pounds of ground turkey that may be contaminated with extraneous materials, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service said Monday. Plant employees doing sanitation work Friday on processing equipment notified the Food and Inspection Service on Wednesday after noticing some type of problem, a news release said.
