Not all heroes are famous. Some have lived among us; we may never have met them, never knew anything at all about them — and yet, they quietly worked to make our lives better, and their influence remains, strong and positive.
John “Doc” Kirkpatrick Jr. was such a person. After returning from serving in WWII as a pilot, he settled down in 1949 to be a dairyman and row crop farmer.
