Lane County environmental activists may have gathered enough signatures to put a countywide ban on aerial herbicide spraying on next year’s ballot, most likely drawing timber companies into a heated election battle.  Community Rights Lane County and Lane County Freedom From Aerial Herbicides Alliance turned in about 15,000 signatures to the Lane County Clerk’s Office on Friday, officials with the groups said.
