House Agriculture Chairman Rep. Mike Conaway (R-Texas) addressed some of the key agricultural policy issues in Washington yesterday in a prepared audio release distributed by his office. Among the issues he touches upon in the question-and-answer session is the ag guestworker program that House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte, (R-Virginia), is looking to overhaul. In addition, Conaway touches upon the House/Senate budget, Farm Bill timing, the North American Free Trade Agreement, biofuels and hurricane disaster relief.
