Bayer to sell assets to BASF, 300 in N.C. impacted

As Bayer works to finalize its $66 billion buy of Monsanto, the German firm is finally talking about what will happen to some of its businesses in Research Triangle Park. Bayer has reached an agreement to sell parts of its Crop Science businesses to BASF, which also has a major RTP operation, for about $7 billion.  A spokesman called the agreement “a major milestone in Bayer’s path to the successful completion of its proposed acquisition of Monsanto.”
