On Friday, we heard from NC State Extension Soybean Specialist, Dr. Jim Dunphy about this year’s soybean crop. Having had an all around good growing season for most crops in the southeast, producers are excited about yields. North Carolina’s state soybean yield average is in the mid-to high 30’s bu/a, the five year average is a bit over 36 bu/a and the record yield is 40 bu/a.
