Triad researcher receives $2 million grant to turn animal waste into fuel

A professor at N.C. A&T State University has received a $2 million grant for his work towards converting animal and food waste into fuel. Debasish Kuila, a chemistry professor, is working to develop a gas-to-liquids technology that uses solar energy to transform biogas into gasoline. The grant is from the UNC System’s Research Opportunities Initiative.
