North Carolina scores 11th for tax competitiveness

North Carolina has the 11th-most competitive tax code in the nation, according to a newly released survey compiled by the Washington, D.C.-based Tax Foundation. North Carolina ranked 3rd in corporate tax structure, 6th in unemployment insurance tax structure and 11th in overall tax climate. The Tar Heel State ranked 13th in individual income tax structure, 20th for sales tax and 32nd for property tax.
