The waters of the Atlantic Ocean must be explored, leaders of a marine protection organization and the fossil fuel industry said during a forum Tuesday night at the Wilson Center at Cape Fear Community College. But at the “To Drill or Not To Drill” event organized by Cape Fear Realtors, Jean-Michel Cousteau, president of the Ocean Futures Society, and John Hofmeister, former president of Shell Oil, disagreed sharply on why the ocean should be explored.
