House Agriculture Committee Ranking Member Collin Peterson today announced that Prescott Martin has joined the House Agriculture Committee Minority staff as Counsel.

“Prescott will serve an important role as the Committee begins its work on a new farm bill,” Peterson said. “His understanding of farm bill issues will serve the Committee well and I welcome him aboard.”

A North Carolina native, Martin holds an undergraduate degree from George Washington University and a law degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in Washington, D.C., and worked for the American Sugar Alliance during consideration of the 2008 and 2014 Farm Bills.
