More than 1 million people attended the 2017 N.C. State Fair, making for the fourth highest attendance of all time, fair organizers said. This year, 1,014,478 million people attended the fair, and the first day of the fair broke a record for attendance with 57,083 people attending on Thursday, Oct. 12.  The peak day for fair attendance was Saturday, Oct. 21, when 148,424 people attended the fair.
