Syngenta, Adama Agricultural Solutions to sell crop protection portfolio for $490M

Syngenta and Adama Agricultural Solutions Ltd., a ChemChina subsidiary, have agreed to sell a portfolio of crop protection products to Nufarm Ltd., an Australian agriculture chemicals firm, for $490 million. The portfolio is being sold to meet European regulatory requirements related to ChemChina’s $43 billion acquisition of Syngenta earlier this year. The deal required ChemChina to receive regulatory approval from several entities, including commissions in China and the U.S.
