Bayer has announced the opening of a new local office in Maputo, Mozambique, cementing its presence and demonstrating commitment to its growing business interests in Africa. While Bayer will initially have a large focus on the local agricultural sector through its crop science division, it is already present in the country through the distribution of some of its pharmaceuticals, animal health products and anti-malaria programmes.
