Re-equipped NC science board focused on GenX response

The state Science Advisory Board plans to examine how North Carolina regulators set interim safe levels for GenX in drinking water, with the goal of creating a process to use for other contaminants, including a growing list of fluorochemicals recently found in area drinking water. Earlier this year, the board’s focus and membership expanded to look at emerging chemicals such as GenX.
