Concerns about growth push change in Mills River

Growth and keeping the town’s rural and agrarian character intact were at the top of many voters’ priority lists Tuesday as they headed to cast ballots in Mills River, where three new council members were voted into office. The election saw the highest turnout in recent years for the town, according to election data provided by the state Board of Elections.
