Board of Agriculture will meet Nov. 16 via conference call

The N.C. Board of Agriculture will hold its quarterly meeting Thursday, Nov. 16, at 10:30 a.m. via a telephone conference call.
The board will take up the following items:
• Approval of peak-season dates for the 2017-2018 Agronomic Services Division’s soil sampling season. 
• Approval of rental rates for the Hunt Horse Complex at the State Fairgrounds.

The Board of Agriculture is a policymaking body that adopts regulations for many of the programs administered by the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Members are appointed by the governor. The commissioner of agriculture serves as chairman of the board.
