Tip for Your Operation: Pesticide Safety

1. Pesticide exposure can occur from residue on sources like soil, tractors, used personal protective equipment, irrigation water, and the crop.
2. Wash work clothing in hot water, with a strong detergent, separate from your family’s laundry and sundry. 
3. Do not take pesticides or pesticide containers home with you.
4. Pesticide handlers must follow rules on the pesticide label – this label is the law.
5. Posting signs are used along fields that have been recently sprayed – do not enter posted fields.
