On Thanksgiving tables across the state, hunters will be giving thanks for one of North Carolina’s wildlife success stories. “If you were a turkey lover or somebody who worked for the (N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission) or a turkey hunter in the mid-1900s, it was a pretty bleak picture,” said Chris Kreh, a biologist for the N.C.
