The Humane Society of the United States announced Thursday at Buttram Farms in Albertville, Ala., that it's creating the Alabama Agricultural Advisory Council, a group designed to help farmers "embrace more humane and sustainable animal husbandry practices" and "bring fairness for family farmers." It's the thirteenth council for the group. Others have been established in states like North Carolina, Oklahoma, Missouri and Colorado.
