N.C. Commerce: Triad county moves to more distressed tier designation

Forsyth County has moved to a more economically distressed tier designation under the state Department of Commerce’s annual rankings of economic designations that determine state funding opportunities to assist in economic development.
According to the Commerce Department's county tier designations for 2018, Forsyth moved from a Tier 3 — the least economically distressed ranking — to a Tier 2 ranking.
