Krispy Kreme, headquartered in Winston-Salem since 1937, confirmed that it told approximately 90 employees on Wednesday that their jobs were being eliminated. Spokesperson Sarah Roof Garling released the company announcement late Wednesday afternoon. Krispy Kreme had made no comments on potential layoffs since widespread rumors intensified in October.
