Cattle:  At the livestock auction held Friday in Siler City, a total of 944 cattle, 121 goats, and 54 sheep were sold.  Compared to last week, slaughter cows were mostly steady to 3.00 higher; and bulls were sharply higher.  Feeder steers were steady to 6.00 higher; heifers were steady to 8.00 higher; and bulls were steady to 4.00 higher.
