Organics takes to WaPo to protest USDA on livestock standards

More than two dozen consumer groups and organic companies took out a full-page ad in The Washington Post on Tuesday to protest USDA's decision to halt an effort to set specific standards for how organic livestock are raised, Pro Ag's Helena Bottemiller Evich reports.The groups' advertisement included an open letter that was published below a large, bold-faced title: "If you eat food, you should read this."
