Perdue weighs in on H-2A overhaul

The USDA secretary endorsed House Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte's legislation (H.R. 4092 (115)) to overhaul the H-2A visa program, which the U.S. agriculture industry has long criticized for its requirements and restrictions. During a town hall-style event at a Pennsylvania dairy farm, Perdue said he hoped that Goodlatte's bill would be part of a broader immigration package that Congress continues to work on - otherwise he didn't see another opportunity in the near future to address labor shortages.
